Several days ago, I went to the cinema and watched Vicky Donor. It is a Bollywood movie. The movie was great. It serves the audience with good acting, sweet songs, wonderful dancing, and incredible plot.
The film was about a man; named Vicky (starred by Ayushmann Khurrana), who becomes a sperm donor. Initially, he did not agree with sperm donor because for him, “producing” sperm needs love. Totally agree with you, Vicky. Unfortunately, he finally agreed to do sperm donor because he needs money and Dr. Chaddha (starred by Annu Kapoor) kept persuading him to do it.
Regardless of the pros and cons of sperm donor, this film brings good value to be noted.
BE HONEST
There was a scene when Vicky and his girlfriend, Ashima (starred by Yami Gautam), agreed to get marry. Before they get marry, Ashima told the truth to Vicky that she is a widow. She wanted the marriage to be started with pureness. No lies. Different from Ashima, Vicky did not tell her the truth that he is a sperm donor. He was afraid Ashima will be disappointed and might left him.
In short, they got married. Problem came. They can’t have baby. They went to many doctors but never success. Ashima wondered, was it she or Vicky the one that be the problem. All this time, only Ashima got tested by the doctors. She was angry and questioned Vicky, is he fertile or not. She asked Vicky to be tested as well. Vicky refused. Finally, Vicky honestly told Ashima he is fertile and it can be proved by successful sperm he had donor.
If you were Ashima, what do you think about your spouse who deceived to you? What will you feel about him/her?
For me, personally, it taught me to be honest about ourselves. As God taught us to be honest to Him, He wants us to be honest to everyone. Whether you realize or not, being honest is a very good thing, and it will not bring you to a gap of problem. Moreover, God promises us that we will be healed when we are honest, when we confess our sins to each other.
